Most people don’t find inspiration at train stations. I say, they’re not looking hard enough. Case in point, the Brown Line station at Chicago Avenue totally inspired this piece. This unique metal bench is immediately recognizable to Chicagoans and tourists alike. All the little details are there. The signage and fencing backrest, the seat made of walkway planks, and the steel columns that reach down to the street below. It’s a little bit industrial, a little art deco and a lot of urban cool.
